Higher Blackley - Our First Challenge

Dear friends, this is our first challenge of 2016 and I’m calling for your help! Many of you will know that Blackley is in fact the area of Manchester where we as a party have traditionally done well. In the past we have achieved second place and with your help I believe that, whilst difficult, first place is not impossible. The socialist monolith that is the Manchester Labour party takes victory for granted and is totally intolerant of the people it claims to represent. I campaigned on the streets of Blackley in May last year and saw this for myself. So come along and help me rebuild  the Conservative Party in Manchester, right here, right now!

From Conference with Confidence

Life as a Conservative in Manchester can sometimes be tough and this conference was a stark reminder of the behaviour to which some of our opponents will stoop in an attempt to intimidate us.  Even so, I’m pleased to report that despite their threats our Conference Reception was a resounding success and passed off without disruption.

Manchester CF Welcomes Nicky Morgan

To celebrate the Conservative Party Conference returning to Manchester, the Education Secretary and Women and Equalities Minister paid Manchester CF a visit to thank all our members for their hard work this election season.

Contra Corbynomics: Why we should be incredulous towards economic statism

People are themselves. They are not objects to be pushed around by the State, which is what the new Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, proposes. This is why the British public shouldn’t be seduced by Corbyn’s vision of economic statism in which individualism, hard work and enterprise are demonised by expensive and controlling government.

Welcome to the Party

"I am pleased to report that since the election there has been a huge upsurge in local membership. With so many new people we are keen to improve our local party and offer more events to members. So if you are new and reading this for the first time I hope that you will come to one of our events soon!" Chairman Manchester Federation

The Queen's Speech

When we came to office in 2010, Britain was on the brink. Our task was urgent: to rescue our economy from the mire. With that economy now going in the right direction, we are once again on the brink - but this time, on the brink of something special. We have a golden opportunity to renew the idea that working people are backed in this country; to renew the promise to those least fortunate that they will have the opportunity for a brighter future; and to renew the ties that bind every part of our United Kingdom. We now have the mandate to deliver that renewal. And it starts with today's Queen's Speech: a clear programme for working people, social justice, and bringing our country together - put simply, a One Nation Queen's Speech from a One Nation Government.

Election 2015

An overall majority, David Cameron saw three party leaders off, Labour down with EdStone tied up around their neck, increased Tory vote across Manchester, fantastic gains in Greater Manchester. A massive thank you to all voters who came out in numbers to support Tories across the Manchester constituencies!See picture gallery of the election count and the declaration of results.

Why We Need A Conservative Majority Government

Every time Labour comes to power, they spend and borrow too much money and undermine British enterprise, leaving the country in a mess. Every time we return to power, the Conservatives are left with the task of cleaning up the mess left by Labour. Thus, Winston Churchill in 1951, and Margaret Thatcher in 1979, set us on the road to recovery after having to introduce reforms which Labour Governments refused to enact.

Manchester Central Campaign

Parliamentary candidate for Manchester Central Xingang Wang officially unveiled his campaign billboards in the presence of local Council candidates, party supporters and tv crews from BBC Chinese and Chinese Central Television. See picture gallery.
